Important Info you should consider when hiring a pressure washing contractor! Do not just ask for their insurance, ask for proof of it plus the types, in
most cases a simple liability policy WILL NOT cover you as a business or home owner.

Workers Compensation is in a category of its own. Prokleen Power Wash stresses the importance of getting proof your contractor carries this type
of insurance before anyone is allowed on your property. The state does not require workers compensation insurance until the business has 5 full-
time employees; and there is very little regulation thereof.

Responsible companies, regardless of the number of employees, have this insurance to protect themselves, the customers, and the employees.
If someone is injured on your property, workers compensation (if your contractor has it) will pay all associated costs for the injury and lost time
from work. If the contractor does not carry workers compensation, the contractor will be responsible for the costs.

The problem is most of the contractors that do not carry workers compensation cannot afford to cover the costs of medical expenses, lost time
from work, and compensation for the injury or death; this leaves the property owner responsible, even if the owner was “told” the company carried
workers comp.

Fortunately, you can escape this liability simply by obtaining proof of workers compensation from the insurance company.

Proof of insurance should be required for all jobs, big or small. This form typically is sent directly from the insurance agent. Someone’s word is not
good enough; get proof. If you have any doubts, contact the insurance company directly. Insurance information should be provided before any work
takes place on your property. Many types of insurance include:

General Liability - This insurance covers damage to property and people other than employees. $1 Million minimum coverage should be provided.

Auto Liability - This insurance covers damage done by automobiles. $1 Million minimum coverage should be provided.


Workers Compensation – This insurance covers damage to employees. $1 Million minimum coverage should be provided.
